HOLA!
Who Am I?
I’m Alejandro, born and raised in Buenos Aires, Argentina where I lived till 2009. I’ve always been curious about the world and since young age started to travel, although the turning point of my life took place in 2009 when I earned a scholarship to finish my studies in a small town called Troyes in the Grand East region of northeastern France. Originally it was only for 6 months but I decided to change my life and those 6 months became 10 years and still counting. I’ve lived in France, England and Switzerland for a number of years, travelled over 60 countries across all continents (except for Antarctica) and learnt fluently (I hope) English, French and Portuguese (besides my mother tongue Spanish).
What Is Aletuité?
When I moved to France, I wanted to stay connected in a more personalised way with my family and friends, so I regularly shared a PDF document with them about my journey with fancy pictures and many stories. This was called Aletuité as Ale stands for my first name Alejandro and tuité for “actualité” (news in French). I thought it was cool to put in one word “Alejandro’s news” (Aletuité) combining my name with the language I was learning. I produced 30 volumes of Aletuité, around 150 pages of content from January 2010 to October 2011. After that, I was no longer interested in producing Aletuité. All my energy was being spent on some other projects I had and on the routine. I lost the desire of writing and I thought no one cared anyway. Obviously I was completely wrong because people did care. For many years I thought of making the comeback with the volume XXXI of Aletuité. I tried and was not able to finish one paragraph. Some years later I understood what happened and I’ll share with you everything about it through my posts. Yes, Aletuité is back and open to everyone.
Why Sharing With Everyone?
In these 10 years abroad, I’ve seen over 60 countries as mentioned before. But this is not outstanding news. I’ve lived in 4 different countries and in 2020 the 5th one is coming. Yes, I will move away one more time. But at this stage, this is not important either. What I really want you to know is that my goal is to inspire you to leave your comfort zone because this is where life begins. You don’t need to be a millionaire to break out, in fact, when I left my country I only had €300 for 6 months. Well, I had a scholarship but that was for paying rent, bills, food and survive. Everything was super hard for many years from sleeping in a 20-bed-hostel, skipping few meals to save to travel on low-cost airlines, living on a budget as little as €15 per week and walking 4.1 km via the motorway to go to work to share some examples. Today, I own property, have a diversified portfolio, I fly back to Argentina every year for a long holiday, I travel the world for work and for fun at my pace and I have enough for the lifestyle I’d like without having won the lottery. I also speak 4 languages fluently, I play polo on weekends during the season if I’m in England, I eat vegetarian food (no fish before you ask), I do HIIT on a daily basis to keep myself active, I read one new book every month, I’ve recently started to play the guitar again, one of my childhood hobbies and I’ve celebrated my wedding in late February in Argentina. I want to share Aletuité with everyone because I’ll be happy if my story inspires you to achieve what you want.
