Last summer, I had my annual trip to Paris and spent few days in the Royal Suite in the iconic Westin Paris located in the city centre across from the Tuileries Garden, between Louvre and Place Vendôme.

I love France. This is something I cannot hide. I lived there from 2010 to 2013 where I finished my Uni in Northern France, my internship in Southern France and then got my first full time job in Paris.

Every year I travel to France either for work or holiday. This is a must. Before the pandemic, I spent time in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. I booked the beautiful Westin Paris Vendôme, originally built in 1878 on the iconic Rue de Rivoli.  Because I’m a Marriott Ambassador I received a free upgrade to the Royal Suite room.

Place Vendôme

This is probably one of the most prestigious and well-known squares in the world. Home to the most stunning jewellery boutiques, fashion brands, designer boutiques and countless appearances in films, TV shows and advertising campaigns. Also, just a walking distance to the Opera Garnier, Place de la Concorde, Louvre Museum, Tuileries Garden and some of the best tea rooms in Paris. In fact, if you want to try the best hot chocolate in Paris, you need to visit Angelina on Rue de Rivoli. The location is almost unbeatable if you plan to spend a little holiday here and have a memorable experience.

The Hotel

The Westin Paris Vendôme hotel has a nice restaurant called Le Jardin d’Hiver, the Tuileries Bar for cocktails and Le First restaurant where they serve an interesting Sunday brunch. The Westin Paris also hosts some important fashion shows and events in the Napoleonic ballrooms and venues. The one other thing I liked was the Eat Well menu and Sleep Well products they offer.

Breakfast
Who doesn’t like croissant and pain au chocolat for breakfast?!

The Royal Suite

My first impression when entering the room was a bit of a disappointment. It was very compact and I was wondering where the 90sqm were hiding. I walked in straight direction, saw a door, turn right and wow! Now we are talking. It was a massive high-end dinning/living room with a stunning balcony with the Eiffel Tower view and of course opposite the amazing Tuileries Garden. There was a marble bathroom, a bit small but hey, it’s Paris, you can’t expect massive properties all the time!

So, when is your next trip to Paris?
